Have you ever wanted to look
over the shoulder of another caller, view their dance card and watch
a dance being taught and prompted from the stage? Now
you can!
The links below will take
you to video clips that start with a dance card and then show the
dance being taught and prompted. You can get an idea of what
type of music works well with each dance and in some of the videos
you can even watch the end effects.
These videos are mostly from
the Florida Snow Balls of 2005 and 2006.

Have you ever wanted to
check a dance you wrote down to see if it progresses or what the end
effects might be? There is a contra dance graphics program page
at
http://seattledance.org/contra/design/
Type in the moves you want and it will
play the dance for you showing the actives, inactives, gents,
and ladies. It uses different color squares for the gents
and diamonds for the ladies. You have to get used to the
terminology but it can be done and is worth it if you'll be using it
much. There are also 2 test contras that you can play.
DO YOU NEED TO CALL FOR
SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, PARTIES, ETC.? CHECK OUT THE VIDEOS BELOW:
